LemonADA ?

All summer Ethan has been asking to have a lemonade stand and all summer I kept finding a way to weasle out of it. So while Isaac was up we thought why not do the lemonade stand while at Grandma's house . . . . . so they did.

They had several customers and were quite successful with their earnings. Maybe it was the 100 degree temperature. . . maybe it was their cute little faces that attracted the customers (Grandma suggested they wave and yell "lemonade for sale," they just waved and smiled). . . or maybe it was because there were NO FREE REFILLS. Yes, when asked the cost of refills, they were quick to reply "25 cents!"

This was Ethan's first lemonade stand, we brought the signs home and they have yet to be used again (weasling) . . . . . .Thanks for all of your help Grandma!

SLC - SAN - SLC - MTN HOME - MCCALL - MTN HOME - BOI - HOME

My kids are troopers. Right after returning from San Diego and the 1 1/2 hour plus drive from the airport, I loaded up the kids (+ 1, Isaac you're a trooper too) and headed to Idaho. We drove to Mtn. Home, stayed the night; woke up and drove to McCall, attended a beautiful wedding and stayed the night; woke up and drove back to Mtn. Home, stayed the night; woke up drove to Boise, stayed two nights, woke up and drove home. . . . . . all of this right after vacation is quite a bit for a baby and 5 year old, but they hung in there the whole way. I was amazed at how well Ellie did considering all of her car seat time. Boy was that a lucky week of traveling for us; we were especially grateful to make it all the way home after the pickup started acting funny and its "check engine" light came on about 20 miles from home.

Aside from all of the hours in the car, we had a great time at every destination. Ethan and Ellie loved all of their time with both Grandmas. The wedding was great. . . . gorgeous couple, sweet ceremony and catching up with friends.

Before heading out we enjoyed some time at the lake (I don't think I've ever been there in the summer).

BTW, Mom, thanks for coming with us to McCall, it sure helped me with the kids, and was fun to have that extra time with you.

Family Vacation

This year we hit the BIG city. Yes, that is the Empire State building in the background. Obviously I couldn't get the whole building in our pic.

We also got to see Washington D.C., Las Vegas, the Golden Gate Bridge and many other landmarks.

Okay, so they were all made out of legos, but it was still impressive (that's A LOT of legos).

We actually took a trip to San Diego. While there we met up with cousins Bailey, Isaac, and Sammie as well as their parents. We had a great time visiting Legoland and SeaWorld and also hanging out at the beach. A little tradition we have is every night before bed each of us will say one of our favorite parts of the day. Ethan's response each night: "The whole day was my favorite!!!!" Needless to say a great time was had by all.

Isaac took his mom on a splashin' good ride.

During the Sea Lion show Ellie and I (and then Kelly) got suckered into part of the preshow entertainment.

Summer Fun

The summer has been off to a great start. We've stayed busy with play dates, baseball, swimming, seeing family and friends . . . . just enjoying life. Ellie has hit another milestone; 9 months old. She's waving "hi" and "bye", clapping hands, getting into everything (now that she's progressed her army crawl forward and has become quite fast). Ethan keeps us busy with his ever-growing imagination and charming self.

Ethan played T-ball this year. His team's name was the Giants. The first few games they only hit off the T; after the 3rd game players hit off of the coach's pitch. Ethan did better hitting off the pitch.

A few weeks ago we enjoyed having family come visit. Uncle Adam gave rides to all the kids. This is the most action Ethan's motorcycle has seen in a while. Ethan loved having Taylor and Logan here to play and can't wait to see them at the next get together

Ethan has also been doing swimming lessons again this year. He has shown a lot of progress mastering his back and tummy floats as well as increasing his distance as a rocket ship (on his tummy and back).

Having fun in the sun . . . . . .

Waiting for the fireworks outside of USU stadium. Every 3rd of July there's a great fireworks display. Both E's loved them; they enjoyed their glow sticks too.
