Next John Stockton?

Ethan is playing in the Jr. Jazz league. He's made a lot of improvement since Jr. Grizz and shows potential for being an impressive guard. We were concerned about him knowing some of the basic fundamentals and so I signed him up for the beginner Jr. Jazz league. At the first game I made the comment about how I should have put him in the advanced league. Ethan responded "Thanks for putting me in the beginners, mom (sarcastically)". So I said "Well, then you can be the star player on your team." I guess he took it to heart because he has been a stand out player on his team. Every week he's making baskets, getting assists and steals, and being quite aggressive. Putting him in the beginner league has really helped to build his confidence, so I guess it was the right decision.

Cub Scout

A current favorite treat of Ellie's is hot chocolate. Here she is enjoying a cup with her dad.

For Christmas, one of Ellie's friends gave her make-up. Rather than applying to her lips, she puts the gloss ALL around her mouth. Here she is all done up.

One afternoon, Ethan and Ellie were playing outside. Actually Ethan took her out to show her how to throw her princess frisbee. Here's what I found when I checked on them:

Ethan is such a great big brother. He's always looking out for his little sister and for the most part is pretty patient. It was so cute to listen in as he was coaching Ellie on throwing the ball and catching it. The best was how much he was encouraging and praising on her efforts.
