How LONG???

19 YEARS
  Exactly (kinda) half my life.
That's how long we've been married.
Sometimes it seems like yesterday, sometimes it seems like a lifetime ago (I think the latter is most accurate)
I love the life we have built together and am excited to see where the next half of our lives take us.

10 or more years ago Kelly wanted to go to a Coldplay concert and I didn't think it was worth the money for me to go with him.  and then over the years this band grew on me and became one of my favorites.

I've been waiting for what seems like FOREVER to see them live and I FINALLY got the chance

and boy was it worth it!!!

They put on one AMAZING concert.
Music, the entertainment factor, all of it was incredible!

big BOUNCY bAlls everywhere

The light show during the concert was fabulous

So personable with the crowd, just loved it.
Can't wait until next fall when they are back in the western U.S.

Thank you Kelly Krohn for getting us the best seats
and making this little wish of mine come true.

Pet Hotel ---> Boise for Dutch Oven

For about a week at the beginning of August our home became a pet hotel.
Our neighbors have a cute little wiener dog named Gus and the kids love any opportunity they can get to dog-sit him.  They have so much fun.

Ethan got to go on a road trip with Grandma and Grandpa and so Ellie got to dog-sit Cassie and Gus all by herself.

As is our tradition we headed over to Boise for the annual family Dutch Oven Cook-off.
We always seem to luck on and get to see beautiful sunsets on our way.

I'm usually training for a fall marathon and so in early August is when my training calls for lllooonnnggg runs.  I always love having one of these fall during this weekend because I get the opportunity to run the greenbelt.
Saturday morning as I making my way down to Ann Morrison I came across this:
There were about twice as many as can be seen in the picture that were crossing the road, waiting to cross the road, or had already crossed the road.  So funny!

As I was running around the campus I realized that this August marked 20 years since I had started College at Boise State.  It seems so long ago, yet so far away.  I vaguely remember how I felt those weeks before starting my college classes.

The campus has made several changes in the past two decades (that sounds OLD!)

LOVE THIS!
I'm pretty sure I never noticed this the 5 years I spent on this campus and I know I walked by this every day for several semesters.

or this.

Nothing like the cold Boise River to sooth legs after a 20 miles.

Daddy Daughter moment --the art of skipping rocks.

Ethan was still on his road trip with the grandparents so Dad, Ellie and I checked out the village shopping area and tried out their froyo shop.

The annual dutch oven was another great weekend of seeing family.  We decided we didn't want to be so competitive with the dutch oven cooking, so we went the easy route and made a dump cake.  Well we must be good at dump cakes because we STILL WON a prize for our dutch oven dish.

Some of us girls decided to start our own dutch oven weekend tradition---> pediCURES.  When Ellie figures out that not EVERYTHING hurts, hopefully she'll join us.
