Whip It!

This year Kelly and I signed up and celebrated the Race to Robie Creek 40 year anniversary with several thousand others.

We tried to capture posters from some of the years we ran previous (plundering for booty 2011)

Entertainment at the mouth of Rocky Canyon

Almost to the summit, I thought taking pictures was a good excuse to walk for a minute

even closer to the summit

Looking back at the after party.  We got our race swag, some water, chocolate milk and headed to the shuttle for home.  We had an Easter Egg hunt to get to.

Race to Robie Creek fell on Easter Weekend so we got to spend time at Grandma and Grandpa Krohn's.  Great Grandma and Grandpa were there and we enjoyed a fun Easter Egg hunt and some yummy Easter Food.

Based on the look on Ellie's face, I guess Ethan got more of the eggs than her (?)

The Easter Egg trade with grandma.

Easter morning we headed to Sacrament Meeting with Grandma and Grandpa.
Love this handsome young man.

and his little sweet sister too.

Grandpa recently had surgery on his foot, so the kids took Cassie out for a walk to help out.

Baby Animal Days

Spring Break was pretty low key for us.
We took a trip over to Baby Animal Days with a few of our friends and so did 99% of Cache Valley

Ethan was a good sport hanging out with moms and the little kids.

Ellie decided that she wants a baby chick because they are so cuddly.  She could not seem to comprehend that they do not stay the little and cute.

Happy Day

Happy Happy birthday to the best father and husband a family could ask for!!
(April 5th)
He got a chocolate chocolate cake made from scratch and a little lopsided.

Blue Eyes

I've always wanted blue eyes.

Run

Spring running means we can end up in all kinds of weather.

This was one of our last long runs before our friend Katrina's first trip to Boston Marathon.  We had to take a consecutive Boston Marathon Shirt & Jacket picture.  Katrina can not finish the picture with her 2017 shirt & jacket  (that picture coming soon)

Katrina trained through all kinds of weather, this day was pouring rain.

Spring runs can have sun, with the cold AND small detours from early spring flooding.

Spring running also means beautiful green landscapes

and deep, deep, muddy trails

that are worth it for the view at the end

First Gear

Ethan got a new motorcycle.  A Yamaha yz125.
The boys had fun shopping for all of the accessories that go along with this new toy.  Ethan had the opportunity to get use to it on a dirt road up Blacksmith Fork Canyon and has fun in the field by our house riding it around.  He's still getting use to it and learning how to change gears.

Ellie likes to strike a pose whenever she can, even while waiting for her brother as he rides his new bike.
