Happy Birthday!!! 1 whole DECADE!

So hard to believe that this special little girl has been on earth with us for 10 years now!!

I swear she was just a baby last month.

We celebrated her birthday at home with some over priced, super cute and delicious cupcakes from Gigi's

A few days later Ellie had a few friends over for some ice cream cake and time to hang out together.  I told her no parties this year (we had a bigger surprise in store), but a few friends over for cake and time to play is technically a party there just wasn't all of the decorations, favors, and other over the top craziness.  Ellie had a blast with her friends. 

Happy 1 Decade Birthday to this little beauty.  She is one of the most kindest, caring little girls I know.  Elisabeth is sensitive to the needs and feelings of others which I think is because she is one who wears her feelings on her shoulder.  She's smart, talented and so fun loving.  Ellie loves to make others laugh and feel happy.  Ellie makes us feel loved happy whenever she's around.

Fall Fun

Ellie played another season of rec. soccer.  She was on a team with her bestie Jessi, so it was an extra extra fun season of soccer.

Bob Firman Invitational

The highlight of the cross country season

Bob Firman Invitational

Qualifying for this race meant a long bus ride with the team, lunch and dinner, a night in the hotel, and lots of memories with his friends.  Plus he would get to run in front of some other family and friends.

Bob Firman Invitational is in Eagle, Idaho at Eagle Island State Park

It was a beautiful fall morning and perfect conditions for a race.  Ethan's heat took place in the late morning.

They ran in dirt and dust, sand, grass, and some pavement.  Two laps around meant lots of opportunities to see him on the course.  Unfortunately we did not figure that out until later, but at least we'll know for next year.

So proud of this kid.  He ran his heart out all season and in this race.  He had a blast on this trip and was glad when the race part was over.

The other Krohns were in Boise this weekend so we got to celebrate Aunt Carolyn and Elisabeth's birthdays together.

Weber Invitational Meet

I barely got to the race in time to be able to see Ethan finish.

He was so sweet when I apologized for being late and said at least you made it and saw the finish.

He had no desire to ride home with me and chose to stay and ride the bus with his friends.  It's all a social thing now.

Grasslands invitational

This was a fun meet.  It was all on grass and included some obstacle hay bales along the way.

Murray invitational (I think)

This was the race that everyone looks forward to.  Boys and girls want to be in the top 25 to be able to go to the Bob Firman Invitational in Boise.  This was Ethan's goal the entire season, to be able to go run in Boise.  He was pretty nervous for this race and I was nervous for him.  

Team prayer before the race.  For this race all JV and varsity runners run the same heat to be able to make it easier to see the qualifiers of Boise.

Ethan had a great race, ran hard, and made his goal of making it to Boise.
