Bear Lake

We only made it up to Bear Lake for a day trip one time this summer.  Not sure where the time went.
We loaded up the dog, the kayaks, paddle board and some food for a day in the sun.

Cooper LOVED playing in the lake and anytime anyone was out in the water whined to go out and be with them.  It was hard to tell if he wanted to ride on kayaks or swim on his own.

Needless to say Cooper was exhausted after a day in the water and the sun.

So was dad.

Lovin Dutch Oven

First weekend in August always includes a trip to Boise for the annual Larson Dutch Oven Cook-off.  As far as I know we have never missed a weekend at this event.
Any time we drive more than a 1/2 hour away Ellie asks to listen to music on my phone.  I always end up with random pictures of Cooper and/or selfies of Ellie.

Hanging in the backyard on Grandma's swing with the Coop.  He wanted to swing too.

My little buddy Coy.  I don't remember what we were talking about, but we sat there and discussed it for quite awhile.

Good Morning Boise

The main event:
Dutch Oven cook-off and of course Grandpa's candy cannon which Ellie was still too scared to go participate because she is severely frightened of the loud noise, which really isn't very loud.  We continue to wonder when this noise anxiety will leave her.

Kelly was proud to once again win the overall prize for his dish.  This year's dish was a saucy chicken cordon bleu dish with a secret special ingredient.  (spicy sauce from Chick Fil A --shhhh)

Ellie shared her new found talent of face painting with her cousin Aubrey and painted her up as a pirate.

This cute kid was possibly trying to stow away and head to Logan with us.
We would have gladly taken him.
