January Jubilee and more

When you're in your forties you party with your friends at 5 a.m. in 3 degree weather because there's not time any other part of the day or week.  So grateful for such amazing ladies in my life.
 41 and having fun!

evening winter walk and sunset

Day off of school means a run in the daylight and on the trail.
1st prints of the day for most of the trail.

except for this little critter whose path we crossed

deep snow when one goes off trail

An afternoon of Snow Shoeing
We rented the kids some snow shoes and headed up Logan Canyon to try out some snow shoeing.
We stopped at Blind Hollow trail for the adventure.
It didn't take very long before Ellie asked "Is this like hiking, but in the snow?"
We were hoping she wouldn't figure that out that this new adventure was not like anything she'd done before ;-)

Ellie was quite the trooper and took off all over until she got fatigued.  Of course to her credit the snow shoes she was wearing were most likely meant for adults.  She may have been down in the snow more than upright but she managed to go a little over a mile and didn't complain a bit.

Ethan enjoyed the outing

Cooper had a blast as he always does when he gets out in the mountains

We all enjoyed the fresh air and the beautiful sunshine!!

Happy 15th Birthday!!

That's 1.5 decades.
1/2 of 30
Old enough for a driver's permit.
Middle teenage years
This kid turned 15 years old and I can hardly believe it.  I know that I say this every year and at every birthday, but every year it's true.
Ethan wanted to spend an afternoon bowling with friends and then going to ice cream at the local favorite Charlie's Ice Cream shop.

The next day was E's actual birthday.  He was treated with a few gifts and a six pack of a cream soda mix.

Cooper was happy to celebrate Ethan's birthday.
He only wished he could have some chocolate lasagna too.

So proud of this amazing kid.  He makes us so proud everyday!!
He enjoys playing soccer, running cross country (I think), lifting weights (new thing), drawing, making Lego movies, rolling his eyes at his little sister, playing with the Coops and hanging out with friends.
