Our first full day in Maui was a pretty chill day. We decided to keep it low key by stocking up on some food, and enjoying the amenities of the resort. We stayed at the Hyatt Regency resort and were extremely happy with all of our experience there. We debated on renting a condo or small home, decided taking advantage of the benefits of staying at a resort with its beach and all of the fun water activities
We took our time to explore the grounds of the resort. We headed back to Costco to get some food. We enjoyed the pool and the beach. We even tried out our snorkel gear where we saw some sea turtles and lots of cool fish.
Kids went and explored on their own, finding the area where many kinds of birds could be found. Cannot remember all of them but they included ducks, geese, swans, and flamingos to name a few.
Snorkeling was a hit!
The water was warm, clear and filled with fun sea life.
Before we went to the beach and before the trip Ellie was very nervous about getting into the ocean because of sharks. She chose to ignore those fears and try it out.

At the end of the day we were treated with a beautiful sunset as we headed over to Whalers village for a little shopping.
