Every so often I receive these emails that remind me how fast time goes. They always bring tears to my eyes and remind me how precious every minute with our family is.
Our 4th of July was pretty laid back. We miss out on fireworks because Ellie hates them.
We did have the Egglis over for bbq and swimming, but didn't get any pictures.
A few days later was the annual Krohn family reunion.
This year the meeting place was our house. We started Friday evening with swimming and fried chicken as everyone arrived.
The next morning we headed up to Bear Lake.
We camped out for the day on the north side of the lake (Idaho side). We were disappointed when we found out where we ended up was not within the state park boundaries and we could have brought our dogs. We kayaked, swam, built sand creations and the biggest hit was the Lily Pad also known as the Silly Pad per Uncle Kelly. Grandma and Grandpa had their camper which was nice for preparing the food.
After a day at the lake and several sun burns, the other Krohns headed back to Idaho Falls and the rest of us went back to our house and had bbq and more swimming. Grandma and Grandpa had to leave Saturday evening and the Adams and the Ramseys stayed another night and joined us for church the next day.
It's always a great time making memories with cousins. Hosting was a fun because we didn't have to travel. After cleaning up Kelly and Riggs enjoyed a relaxing sunset.
The Monday after the reunion, Ellie and I headed down to Utah County for the week where she was able to play in a volleyball camp at Utah Valley University. We had fun staying down there and spent 10+ hours watching and playing volleyball. She had a lot of fun and progressed so much over the week. All summer she has been attending morning workouts and open gym. After this week was moratorium and then high school tryouts.
On our way home we did some shopping.
Ellie was wiped out from the week.
Love our backyard summer sunsets
Love all of the deer that roam our neighborhood.
I managed maybe two trail runs this summer.
On crimson trail looking down Logan Canyon.
We found a day that we could all head up to Bear Lake and take Riggs with us.
Of course, he LOVED it!!
Riggs hasn't had many opportunities for swimming in water and he will not go in to the pool on his own.
He had a ton of fun chasing things into the water. Like Cooper, he would not like having us all separated and if Kelly was out on the Kayak, that's where Riggs wanted to be.
After playing in the water we headed to Le Beaus for burgers and milkshakes.
Still enjoying our weekly FB calls with Elder Krohn and still watching the FB mission page waiting for pictures that include Ethan. Smiling and not.
Still crazy to think about how far away our (not so) little boy is.
Love and miss him so much, but so happy for the work he is doing.
Good to remember
