We were excited because of the time change we would be able to talk to Elder Krohn on Christmas Eve (His Christmas morning). He and his companion had stockings we sent to them for Christmas and were able to open them. When we talked to they he had already opened them. We talked to him a little later in the evening because he had Sacrament meeting and then lunch with some members.
of course Aunt Kimberly gets prize for best gift sent to Ethan.
Then the next morning he called at 7a.m. because he wanted to be a part of our Christmas morning and opening stockings. It was about 10pm his Christmas night so it was a short chat, but we opened stockings and got a Christmas morning picture of all of our kids. (all two and a dog)
Riggs enjoyed his first Christmas
Obviously Christmas morning was a little different this year. It was still nice and we LOVE having sacrament meeting on Christmas Day. What a great day to celebrate the greatest gift to the world.
We tried for a self positioned phone camera Christmas Day picture and was not very successful.
We did get some good laughs trying.
Loved seeing this video post from the mission FB page.
One more chat with Elder Krohn Christmas evening. It was his Monday morning which is his P-day. So with the the Christmas fell this year it worked out well for having lots of chats. By this time we were almost out of things to talk about, almost.
Later he sent us pictures of him and other Elders treating themselves to some all you can eat Wings. Right up Ethan's alley of favorites.
After Christmas we had a nice week break from school, well at least Ellie and I did.
Then Grandma & Grandpa came to visit over the New Years weekend.
We visited some local antique stores, went up the canyon to find snow for the dogs to play in and found a plethora of buried basketballs.
Built a snowman
We ended the evening with dinner at Kabuki and playing games until the ball drop on T.V.
What a great 2022 it's been and we look forward to 2023.
