Simple, yet SiGNiFiCaNT

The last two years I have printed this blog into a book. It's so fun to look back over our year and reminisce. It has become our family journal/scrapbook. The kids love it too. Ellie will sit forever looking through 2010's book. What I realized after getting last year's book completed is how quickly we forget the little things. So this year my goal is to try to capture more of those little moments through pictures as well as text, no matter how small and simple. Here's a few from the last couple of months:

Ethan: "Would our family still be the same if Ellie and me got married?" Let me just say I was quite concerned with this question and explained that we do NOT marry our brothers and sisters and explained a few reasons why (probably in a politically INcorrect way).

One of Ellie's current favorite songs: "Young flokes" (love it when she says this title)

Ethan to Kelly: "I want to learn how to shave. Dad, can you teach me? I want to be a man!"

I love that my kids get SO EXCITED to go to the grocery store and get strawberries and pick out their own flavor of yogurts for their treat. Ellie: "Strawberries. . . . .Yeah!!!!! Ethan "Thanks mom for letting us get yogurts".

A few days ago when getting Ellie out of the car I noticed a big smear of chocolate on her jeans. I said, "Oh no! What is that?" Ellie's response, " I drawed it" in a proud tone.

Ellie: "That makes me happy Allll DAAAAYYYY!"

Simba: never too old to beg

Ellie: shaking her booty.
