Happy 6th Birthday Elisabeth

Elisabeth turned 6 years old!!!
As always, she has been looking forward to her birthday pretty much since her last birthday.  On September 1st we started the 26 day count down.  On the morning of Ellie's birthday we treated our girl to her favorite breakfast of pancakes, strawberries and whipped cream.

There is no longer a fear of the candle and Ellie was so proud to let us know that now that she is 6 she in no longer afraid of the candles.

It was an all day celebration.  At school Ellie received the "birthday crown" which was covered in sweet compliments from her classmates.  This was so special to Ellie.  She is still carrying it around reading all of the nice things that her classmates had to say about her.  There is one little boy in particular that she is always talking about (Dominic) and likes to tell us things that he will say and about the time he looked at her and she looked to the side at him.

After school we had some of Ellie's friends over to celebrate with her.  They enjoyed a light dinner of sandwiches, fruits and veggies, played some fun games, and of course ate cake and ice cream.

Ellie loved the new kitty that Grandma Ramona got from her, especially since she "doesn't even have a stuffed kitty yet".

Dad treated his special girl with some pretty flowers.

Introducing some of her new animals to all the others and letting them listen to a story on the iPad.

Elisabeth is such a special little girl.  She has become quite timid in many situations, but once she is comfortable she is as lively as any other 6 year old.  Ellis is incredibly smart and is at the top of her grade in all the academic tests (one of the benefits of my job is I can see test scores of the whole school).  She is so curious and asks questions about EVERYTHING, but only because she wants to know what things mean.  Ellie pays attention to every little detail which often makes it difficult to slip things by her.  Here are some of her favorites at this time in her life:
FAVORITE FOOD:  strawberries
FAVORITE BOOK:  Little Critter books, Junie B Jones &  Pinkalicious
FAVORITE MOVIES:  Frozen, Despicable Me
FAVORITE SONGS:  "Pompeii" "Happy" & "Radioactive"
FAVORITE TOY:  Stuffed Animals
FAVORITE ACTIVITIES:  coloring pictures, mazes
WHAT ARE YOU REALLY GOOD AT?  Coloring and drawing, reading and math
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP?  Teacher! because I want to have a daycare and a kindergarten at my house
(on a daily basis Ellie is making plans for her future house which will include a daycare, hotel, and kindergarten school.  she has a school catalog of mine that she looks at all of the time to show everyone the school stuff she will have at her school)
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY?  being at the Stanley house

Elisabeth is so loving and caring and is always willing to share with others.  She loves to have fun and is always doing things to make others laugh.  She has the sweetest, funniest laugh that we just love to hear.  We are so proud of this little lady and love her so much.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY Elisabeth!!!
