Happy Halloween!

About a week before Halloween, Grandma and Grandpa came down for a few days and went with us to the ward Halloween Party.
We even got them to dress up for the family photo booth.

This year's individually designed Jack-o-Lanterns

On Halloween Eve was the school party and of course the annual school Halloween Parade.  Our school really gets into the fun of Halloween.
Cutest Minion ever!!

Halloween Morning my friend Sandy and I went on an adventurous trail run to the Wind Caves.  We took a few twists and turns and ended up running 4 more miles than planned

We found this creepy place ----fitting for the day

and eventually made it the wind caves.

Before the night of Trick or Treating, Ethan had a bunch of friends over for some pizza!  Afterwards they headed out for some trick or treating and up to a haunted house in town that they knew of.  He said at first he was scared to go in (but of course didn't admit it to his friends), but he went, was startled, but had a lot of fun.

Ellie met up with one of her besties, Jessi and we headed around the neighborhood.

We ended up finding another one of her friends, Ben who lives next door and who she is always looking out for.  She took great care to help and look out for Ben the entire night.

We ended up joining up with more of her friends and roamed to a part of the neighborhood we usually do not make it too.  Boy have we been missing out the last several years.  This house goes all out.  They had a movie playing, cotton candy, hot dogs, nachos, hot chocolate, homemade rootbeer and lost of neighbors.

Not sure that this is my favorite part of the Halloween, but Ethan and Elisabeth would definitely put the candy at the top of the list.
The next morning, each of the them enjoyed organizing their candy and doing a little trading.

Ethan was quite proud of the loot he gathered after going all over town with his friends.
