Making our annual cookies for Christmas. This year I used a sugar cookie recipe from my friend Sandy and they were SO delicious!! Best sugar cookie recipe ever!
We still took an evening to drive around to look at the lights around the town. I hope the kids always like to do this, but I worry that I may be the one who enjoys this the most.
There's just something about this time of year.
Nostalgic, magical, wanting time to stand still and never let our kids grow up. Remembering Christmases passed and people who have left us way too soon. For me, it's happy and sad all at the same time.
Christmas morning!
We always tell the kids to come get us before they go out to the tree. We want to be there when they find their stockings and just in case Santa left anything unwrapped we want to see their excited reactions.
Cooper's first Christmas and he loved his candy cane.
Cooper and I took a break from the Christmas happenings at home for some adventure and exercise up Providence Canyon.
Taking it easy on a Christmas afternoon.
Watching Christmas movies and cuddling on the couch.
This year Christmas fell on a Monday which means that Christmas Eve was on Sunday. I love having Church so close to Christmas day. It helps us to be able to focus on the reason for the season. To remember to be grateful for the greatest gift that we have all been given. Our Savior, Jesus Christ.
