Wrapping up 4th grade

Ellie had a fantastic fourth grade year.  The last few weeks of school are always fun with all of the festivities that happen.

In fourth grade the students get to participate in a district fun run.  This year there was really bad weather so the district run was canceled.  Our 4th grade team decided to run their own fun run for the students so a course was made and the 4th graders got to run.  It was the day that the district run was suppose to occur and as you can see the weather really wasn't THAT bad.

The day after the JoJo Siwa concert was the annual Woodruff Wildcat run.
Ellie is still wants me to run this with her which is fun because I can snap lots of pics along the way.  (when Ethan was this age, he was in full competition mode so I just watched from the sidelines LOL).

Ellie with her friends Taelor and Mayci

This year's race was much better than last year, no sickness the night before so she had pretty much full energy.

Heading into the finish line.
Way to go Ellie!!

Ellie also had her last few rec. soccer games to end the year.  This may be her last organized soccer game since she decided to do competitive dance it's just too much to try to fit it all in.

Ellie has been in a class called E2 or Enrichment and extension.  They have studied novels, researched famous people and the last part of the year was focused on debate.  They had an end of year debate that was done in front of parents.  Ellie was super scared to participate in front of an audience and did not fully participate in the debate, however we talked her into sitting with her team and helping them debrief and collaborate for rebuttal.  Probably not a future lawyer ;-)

Ellie's class had been studying poetry and each student wrote some of their own poems.  They had an event called a PoBev where parents were invited to come listen to the students read their poems and then the class performed a song (to the tune of the shrek song and was really cute!  their teacher did a great job with the lyrics).  I was so surprised and proud of Ellie for being brave and reading her poem in front of a crowd of her class and parents.

The Italian sodas and treats were very tasty as well.

So proud of all that this girl has accomplished this year.  I cannot believe that she is moving on to 5th grade.
