After our California trip we headed home for about 2 days of work and school, then headed out early Friday morning to Tucson, Arizona for our lovely niece Bailey's wedding.
It was a short early morning flight, then we got our rental car and drove a few hours to sunny Tucson where we met up with the Harpers as well as Grandma and Grandpa at their hotel down at the University of AZ campus. They had been there since the day before. Everyone was ready so we did a quick change then headed over to the beautiful Sonora Desert Museum where the ceremony and reception would be held.
My understanding is that Bailey and Dennis did the planning and everything on their own. They did a fabulous job. Their center pieces were designed by Bailey and included a variety of native plants from the area. There were cookies that were specially made and designed by the couple for their guests. The attention to detail and creative vibe was so impressive with everything and completely fit Bailey (and I'm assuming Dennis, but don't know him as well).
The wedding ceremony was so sweet and special.
Her dad officiated and they had written and then read their own vows.
I'm pretty sure everyone cried throughout the ceremony.
So happy for this beautiful couple!!
Congratulations Bailey and Dennis!!
After the ceremony there was cocktail hour as well as a variety of animals brought out for the guests to see and learn about. We enjoyed the hors d'oeuvres as well as checking out the kangaroo rat, parrot who talked to us, and the snakes. The desert sunset was spectacular throughout the evening.

The dinner and reception followed with yummy food and fun dancing.
Our niece and her new husband sure know how to put on a party!
SO. MUCH. FUN
didn't really take pictures, but got this family selfie at some point.
We were there in Arizona for literally 24 hours.
After the reception, we drove back through the back roads of the desert to Gilbert where we slept a few hours before getting up to catch our flight home.
