September Shenanigans & Dancing in the Rain

Ellie wanted to make dolls, or bears, or some kind of stuffed animal.  She was excited to use the sewing machine for the first time.  The finished project didn't quite turn out was planned (no final picture), but it was a good experience using the sewing machine.

Busted!
Our light cream colored chair is not so light colored.  (I gave up a long time ago)

Ridgeline Homecoming parade
Ethan with some of the sophomore class.  I think it was a rainy day, but had stopped raining by the time he got to where I was standing.

Crazy Hair day at school.
We were running late at home, so we put something together quickly in my office before the bell rang.

Trail outing, Coop's favorite

Ethan and friends loading the bus and headed to Boise for the Bob Firman Invite for Cross Country.  He loved this trip last year and was so excited to have made it again this year.

We headed to Boise over the weekend of September 22nd for the cross country invitational and luckily it turned out to be a home game for Boise State that same weekend.  We left for Boise early on Friday and made it to the Air Force/Bronco game.

Saturday was spent at Eagle Island State Park to support Ethan and his team at the Bob Firman Invitational Cross Country meet.

The JV boys team did awesome ending up 9th place overall.  So many teams represented here.

So proud of this kid.  He worked hard to get here and had a fabulous run and got a PR for this course.

We also got to dog sit Annie for a few days in September.  These two labs sure enjoy time playing and resting together.

And this girl loves all the animals.

It was a super rainy morning (Thundering and all), but the parade went on.
It was the Utah State homecoming parade and Ellie's dance group had a float in the parade.  She was extra excited because this year she got to walk along the parade route and dance.  I honestly thought it would be canceled because it was seriously pouring rain and there was no sign of it letting up.  We took an umbrella and waited for it to start.

Everyone did their best to try to stay dry.

Eventually they had to find their places and start warming up.

I went and parked at the end of the route and walked along the route to get the best pics possible of our little dancer.  I saw her at several spots as she danced in the rain.

By the end the rain had stopped but these girls were soaked to the bone.  The rain didn't dampen their spirits, they loved it.  Afterward we headed home to get ready for Elisabeth's birthday party happening later that afternoon.

Love seeing such pure happiness and big smile on this girl.
